Entry Fee - Inclusions & Conditions
- $200 per person early bird entry if registered and paid by 30 January 2010
- $250 per person for entries received after 30 January 2010
All runners are asked to try and raise sponsorship, in addition to their entry fee, of $500+, which goes to support people recovering from mental illness and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, (see sponsorship / donations)

4) An Alpine Challenge Medallion if they complete the event within 48 hours

Sponsorship / Donations
All participants / support crew are encouraged to seek sponsorship (minimum of $500 per participant) from family, friends etc in support of Mind. Mind is a not for profit organization dedicated to supporting people recovering from mental illness and in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Donations of $2 and more are tax deductible; receipts will be issued by Mind. Mind will provide a support pack for all participants to assist them in raising sponsorship. Sponsors may make donations online, after registration, via the Mind website in each participants name or by cheque.
Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation/Refunds
Teams / Individuals cancelling before February 1st, 2010 will receive AUD 150 per entry back. Cancellations after February 1st, 2010 will only be accepted with an accompanying doctor’s certificate, in which case the team will receive AUD 50 back. We recommend cancellation insurance.
2. Cancellation/Termination by Mind
Mind may terminate the contract either before or after the event starts, subject to the following conditions:
a. Adverse weather conditions which threaten the safety of participants or on the advice of Parks Victoria or authorised government emergency services personnel.
b. Breach of rules and/or regulations and instructions by the participant that he/she was informed about prior or during the event.
c. Failure by participant to observe instructions by the event management or by Mind.
d. If the participant disturbs materially the fulfilment of the contract in any other way or his/her behaviour is not in conformity with the contract in such a way that an immediate termination of the contract becomes justified.
3. Cancellation of the Event/No Show
If the event is cancelled because of circumstances of force majeure, the participant will not be entitled to any reimbursement of the entry fee and compensation of other losses, such as travelling or accommodation expenses. All claims will be forfeited for no shows.
4. Services Not Utilised
If the participant gives up during the event due to illness, injury or any other reason not attributed to the organizer, does not take part in individual stages or utilise services, the participant shall not be entitled to any proportional refunding of the entry fee concerned.
5. Acceptance of registration
The event organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any application to participate in the event.
The organizers decision will be final.
