General Information

Support

All runners are responsible for arranging their own support crews who meet runners at pre designated stops. Runners must carry a day pack with mandatory safety equipment during the entire run.

Bad Weather

All runners MUST be prepared to stay out if lost or caught in inclement weather and MUST have sufficient experience/equipment to allow them to;

a) find an alternate route back to the start or a road or
b) wait out the night & complete the run the following day.

Medical Evacuation

Given the nature of the terrain and the distance from the closest hospital, participants are encouraged to join Air Ambulance Victoria - medical evacuations are at participants cost.
(www.ambulance-vic.com.au  Phone 03 9379 9155)

Withdrawal due to injury / illness

Any runner that is injured and wishes to withdraw due to illness / injury must be accompanied to the next closest support station or medical evacuation site. Withdrawal must be advised to an event organiser. Non injured runners in a team are able to continue the event by joining with another team or teaming up with another runner looking for a partner or with a member of a support team. These runners will receive a certificate of participation / completion but times will not be recorded in the overall rankings.
