Mind Oxford Houses 

What the service does:

Mind Oxford Houses provides drug and alcohol-free, self-managed houses for people in recovery wanting to live clean and sober.  Oxford Houses provides individuals with an opportunity to live with others committed to recovery and to develop responsibility, accountability and motivation to re-establish a productive and worthwhile life within the community.

Who can recieve this service:
People aged 18 and over committed to continuing abstinence from alcohol and other drugs, working on some form of treatment and recovery and with a minimum of 30 consecutive days of sobriety/cleantime.

Where is the office:
Mind Oxford Houses office is located at 353 Whitehorse Road Nunawading

What the program aims to do:
Under three guiding principles of:

  • Members pay their own way
  • All members of the house share responsibility for group decisions
  • Members must be free of alcohol or illicit drugs at all times

Through these principles the services offers a safe, secure and affordable home where an individual can live in recovery, free from addiction to alcohol and other drugs.
