Engagement strategies

Be part of the Consumer Reference Group (CRG)

The Victorian Consumer Reference Group (CRG) is long established, and currently a group is also being established in South Australia. In Victoria the monthly meeting is run by the Mind Consumer Consultants and the views of CRG members are sought on a range of issues. Information is presented to the group in either written form or by regular guest speakers.

Membership is open to both past and present Mind clients.

To find out more or to join the CRG, contact a Mind Consumer Consultant:

Attend one of the regular focus groups

Focus groups are a way Mind clients can give their opinion on the services they are receiving from the organisation, and other important issues. The Victorian focus groups are facilitated by Mind's Consumer Consultants.

All clients who attend focus groups are reimbursed for their time and travel. Lunch and/or light refreshments are provided at all sessions.

Contribute to Write Mind

Write Mind, Mind Australia's client newsletter has a fresh, colourful look and is easy-to-read with a name chosen unanimously by Mind’s consumer representatives. Each newsletter has interviews with Mind clients, news on mental and physical health, helpful websites, client writing and art as well as articles with valuable information aiming to help clients in their recovery journeys.

If you have a piece of writing, artwork or photography that you would like considered for publication, send it to the editor, Jess Shulman: jessica.shulman@mindaustralia.org.au.

Be part of the Write Mind editorial group

The Write Mind Editorial Group is a forum for clients to put forward their ideas on the type of stories that they would like to see in our consumer newsletter, Write Mind.

The role of the client editorial group is to ensure the articles are varied, informative and relevant. The existing group meets in Melbourne; however Mind is planning to start a client editorial group in South Australia.
