We know that every person’s recovery journey is a very personal one, and needs a flexible, person-centred approach.
Mind has developed the My Better Life® model to provide our clients with just that.
My Better Life® puts you in control of the recovery process because it is based on conversations between you and your support worker about your views, values and motivation for change across key life areas.
You choose the life areas you want help with and your My Better Life plan® provides a roadmap to support you in setting goals and detailing the steps towards achieving change.
At Mind, we are interested in outcomes and we’ve set up the systems to measure them. You’ll know if what you are working towards is on track. And if not, you and your supporting practitioner can revise your action plan.
The My Better Life® model is informed by the international evidence on wellbeing and the input of our clients and carers about the kind of support needed to achieve a better quality of life. It’s now strongly embraced by our clients and practitioners and, paired with our other outcomes measures, is providing the tools for more successful recovery support.
