One Door Mental Health staff and volunteers were delighted to connect with the LGBTIQA+ community and celebrate diversity and inclusion at Mardi Gras Fair Day at Sydney’s Victoria Park.
Mardi Gras Fair Day is a free community event filled with performances, activities, food and community stalls. It is the largest celebration of LGBTIQA+ communities in Australia and acts as the lead-in to the world-famous Mardi Gras Parade.
One Door held a stall at this year’s Fair Day, which provided an opportunity for people to learn more about One Door’s range of inclusive mental health and wellbeing support services in New South Wales. These services, which aim to ensure everyone feels safe, welcome and valued, include counselling, support groups and educational resources.
One Door has been a proud supporter of Mardi Gras Fair Day for almost 10 years.
