Supported Independent Living - ALBERT PARK

Supported Independent Living services are for people who want to be free to live as they choose, but have 24/7 access to staff on-site to assist them if necessary. As a resident here, you will be supported to develop your confidence to live independently and achieve the goals in your NDIS plan. Tenancy is managed separately.

Who for:

People whose capacity to live independently is impacted by long-term mental ill-health and who have an NDIS package with Supported Independent Living services included to an appropriate level of funding.

How to access:

All tenancies at this location are managed through Housing Choices. Applicants must be between 18-64 years of age and have the financial means to pay for the rent/board and utilities. Applicants should be looking for a place suitable for someone recovering from mental ill-health.

Site description

The residence at Albert Park is a large two story period home built in the late 1880s. For the past forty years Mind has delivered residential services for adults experiencing mental ill-health at the site. There are large communal living areas and kitchens, shared facilities, and 12 individual bedrooms, plus one self-contained unit on the site. This residence is set close to public transport, local cafes, supermarkets, and community services, and is a tram ride away from South Melbourne Market.
