Insight, a current affairs program on SBS, broadcast a show focusing on young carers. It featured many young carers, as well as Mind’s Carer Consultant Michelle Swann, talking about her experience as a 10 year old caring for her mother when she became unwell.

www.youngcarers.net.au Young Carers Australia recognises that many children and young people (defined as someone up to twenty five years of age) are providing lots of support at home for a family member or significant other with a mental health issue, or who may experience other health or disability issues. This website provides information for young people, families and professionals, and includes a section on education.
www.copmi.net.au COPMI (Children of Parents with a Mental Illness) provides information to support young people caring for a parent or other family member living with mental issues.
