Psychological services - GLYNDE
With a mental health treatment plan and a GP referral, you can access up to 10 counselling sessions in a calendar year. The clinician will assess you for depression and anxiety and other related issues such as drug and alcohol dependence. A range of therapies is offered, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (ITP).
People who are struggling with mental health issues and want to access psychological therapy, but cannot generally afford private practitioners.
How to access:
Clients are referred by a GP and have a mental health treatment plan for sessions funded through the federal government's Better Access or Psychological Strategies (formerly ATAPs) programs. Private fee paying clients are also welcome.
Better understanding and management of depression, anxiety or substance abuse, and improved relationships.
