Mind Equality Centre - FITZROY NORTH

A safe, healing place for people of the LGBTIQ community, providing psychological counselling for individuals and couples, family relationship counselling, occupational therapy, and sex therapy.

Our qualified and experienced practitioners identify as members of the LGBTIQ community. They really understand what it's like, and that means you don't have to explain yourself, or worry about being judged. You can just focus on the issues that matter to you. Note that online counselling appointments are also available for those who cannot travel to our centre.

Who for:

People from the LGBTIQ community who are experiencing mental health problems or who could benefit from counselling, either as an individual, as a couple or family.

How to access:

Flexible, competitive fees -
Our practitioners are registered and have Medicare provider numbers, so session fees can be claimed from your private health insurance fund if your extras cover allows.
Your GP may provide you with a mental health care treatment plan which might assist you to access subsidised counselling. Call us on 1300 054 284 (13 000 LGBTI) to discuss the option that best meets your circumstances.

Please note a surcharge applies to sessions outside of Mon-Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
