Mind Equality Centre - FITZROY NORTH

A safe and welcoming place that understands you and what it's like to be dealing with issues of sexuality and gender difference. We provide counselling for individuals and couples and family relationship counselling. Other services include; occupational therapy, sex therapy, educational and social inclusion activities, as well as linkage to job-ready and legal services.

Who for:

People from the LGBTIQ community who are experiencing mental health problems or who could benefit from counselling, either as an individual, as a couple or family.

How to access:

Medicare and private health insurance rebates are available. Medicare bulk-billing is available to clients with a Health Care Card as well as a mental health treatment plan with referral from their GP. Some clients may be eligible for funding support under the Federal Government's Psychological Strategies program (formerly Access to Allied Psychological Services or ATAPS). Please note we also welcome privately funded bookings without a GP referral.
