This service provides short to medium term support to young people aged 16 to 25 who would benefit from individualised and group support to lead more independent lives.

Mind’s Youth Residential Recovery (YRR) services promote resilience, interpersonal skills, life skills and encourage young people to self-advocate, enhancing their awareness of rights and providing people with options to access to services, as well as consider options for future housing, study or employment.

About Wodonga YRR

Known locally as “Triple R/RRR”, Wodonga YRR is based close to the heart of Wodonga where individuals can stay in the program for up to 12 months, receiving psychosocial support in a home-like community setting.

The program provides individual and group based support for young people who are experiencing mental health challenges. Participants benefit from sharing their experiences and recovery journeys with other residents.

Wodonga YRR includes 10 bedrooms in four separate units, which have shared communal areas including a kitchen, living room, and outdoor areas.

The service is staffed from 8 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday, and from 11 am – 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Young people living at the service are required to independently access support from emergency services after hours, if needed.

Who is YRR for?

Young people (aged 16 to 25) who need additional support to improve their mental health and circumstantial life challenges in a safe, home-like environment.

How do I apply for YRR?

People eligible for YRR must be at least 16 years old, be experiencing symptoms of mental health challenges, and at the time of application, have limited access to social and economic participation.
