NDIS Allied Health Assistants - Melbourne

Mind’s Allied Health Assistants deliver recovery oriented and focused therapeutic services to people accessing mental health related therapeutic supports.

We work collaboratively with Mind’s Occupational Therapists and Psychologists, and play an integral role supporting people accessing our services who have ongoing support needs. We assist them to meet identified goals through one-to-one support in their home or out in community.

Allied Health Assistants can support with a range of tasks in support of the clients reaching their identified goals as part of a therapeutic plan outlined by a supporting clinician. This can include: 

  • Daily Living skills I.e. cooking and meal preparation 
  • Community engagement I.e. building capacity to utilise public transport 
  • Implement strategies to support overall health and wellbeing I.e. engagement with physical activity

 

Who is this service for?

Allied Health Assistants can be accessed through your NDIS package. 

To be eligible for the support you must: 

  • have an NDIS plan with Capacity Building funding in Improved Daily Living; 
  • be 16 years and over and 
  • be located in Melbourne
