Mind provides intensive recovery support for up to 18 months to people who have experienced chronic homelessness, assisting their transition from rough sleeping or temporary hotel accommodation into longer-term housing as part of the Victorian Government’s From Homelessness to a Home initiative.

We are working to support clients through the below-listed lead housing agencies:

  • Launch Housing in Melbourne North and South East metro
  • Haven; Home, Safe in Loddon Mallee and Barwon South
  • Beyond Housing in Ovens Murray

This service is based on Housing First principles. Many of the people supported through this initiative have experienced long-term homelessness and disadvantage and have complex needs including, mental illness, harmful alcohol and drug use, trauma, domestic violence and physical health issues. We work to ensure clients are appropriately housed in social housing provided by the Victorian state government and then receive wrap around care to promote better health, wellbeing and so their tenancies can be sustained.

The program includes liaison and brokerage with local community health and social support agencies.

Enquiries about access and referral should be directed to the lead housing agencies.
