Live your way. With the support you need to live life to the fullest.

With over 40 years’ experience of helping people to achieve a better life, Mind provides high quality Supported Independent Living services.

Our qualified staff are skilled at working in partnership with residents in shared housing and the important people in their lives; both one-to-one and in group settings.

We help build personal skills and confidence so you can live independently, while fostering a positive sense of community at the residence.

Hope for a better life.

At Mind, we recognise that each individual's journey to a better life is best achieved with the support and friendship of others...hence our focus on creating strong relationships between residents.

We will work with you to build the life you want and to fulfill your NDIS plan goals.

And the help and support to get you there.

The kind of support residents typically choose includes help with:

  • decision making, daily planning and budgeting
  • building skills for shopping and cooking for healthy eating
  • written communication and filling in forms
  • specialised behaviour support
  • maintaining a household
  • developing and maintaining connections with family and friends.

Every resident has their own program of support, depending on what they need to be able to live the life they want.

And every resident gets the benefits of the group activities and the supportive community they help build.

Mind partners with a number of housing providers, including those building Specialist Disability Accommodation and other community housing models.

Different options to suit different needs

Different options to suit different needs

Mind's Supported Independent Living services are designed around the needs of three distinct customer groups:

  • People with psychosocial disability support needs
  • People with dual disability support needs
  • People looking for a model where family members are closely involved

Each resident will have their individual program of support, depending on what they need to live the life they want. And there are three categories of service level to choose from:

Lower needs - offering daily support

Standard needs - offering daily support with staff on-site 24/7 (sleepover model)

Higher needs - offering intensive daily support including nighttime and specialised behaviour support

Mind is a registered NDIS provider.
